Washington Elementary School is a part of the Fremont City School District. It is located in the Village of Lindsey. The school was built in 1929. It has been, and continues to be, an integral part of the Lindsey community.
The school educates children from preschool through grade six including children with multiple handicaps. There is one section at each grade level.
Washington
Elementary has a fine academic reputation and strong traditions. The
reasons for this include many opportunities for student involvement,
strong parent and community support, and a veteran teaching and support
staff.
Opportunities for student involvement include student council, safety patrol, peer mediation, and litter patrol. In addition, there is a walking club.
Parents and community members support the school through volunteerism. They serve on PTO/Quality Improvement Council.
