Grades K-12 for typical students beyond 2 miles

TRANSPORTATION NOTES:

Beginning January 19, 2012, Fremont City Schools will be transporting typical public and parochial students enrolled in grades kindergarten through twelfth (K-12) who live beyond 2 miles from their school of residence for the 2011-2012 school year.  Atypical students enrolled in a specific program may be an exception to these transportation guidelines.

These routes are current as of 12/28/11.  They are subject to change, particularly in regard to time.  Updated information may be obtained in one or more of the following ways.

·        You may visit the Fremont City Schools website at www.fremontschools.net and click on the “TRANSPORTATION” page.  Busing information found on this site is updated by the end of the day each Monday.

·        A transportation representative will be available at the FMS Open House on January 9th, 10th, and 12th.  The representative will have a master list with current busing information and to assist answering any questions.

·        For those eligible 6-8 grade students who do not attend their Open House, updated bus information will be distributed at school the day after their Open House.

·        The eligible 9-12 grade students, whose parents contacted the transportation office requesting bussing, will have their bussing information distributed to them during the school day on January 12th or January 13th.

·        Updated bus information for K-5 eligible riders will not be distributed at school.  Parents will need to get updates from the district’s transportation web page or call the transportation office.  Elementary route schedules should not significantly change from what they currently are.

·        You may contact Bill Burkett or Dawn Horn at the transportation office at 419-332-7351.  If you choose to check on route updates by contacting the transportation office, it is recommended that you wait until January 13th in order to receive the most current information.

·        Note:  Parents are to have their child at the correct stop location 10 minutes early during the first 2 weeks to insure they do not miss the bus.

Important:  Bus route information for atypical students will be provided to each student by the office of Sandy Werling, Fremont City Schools or Kathleen Nalley, North Central Educational Service Center.
