Parent Involvement Information:
- How do they get involved?
Parents are always welcome at Hayes. We appreciate their
involvement and interest in their child’s education.
They may contact the office at Hayes if interested in a
particular activity or event, and are encouraged to be
active in their child’s classroom. Emailing or calling
the teacher, is a quick way to communicate interest with
any of these ideas.
- Activities:
Title I Parent Involvement and PTO (Parent Teacher
Organization) sponsor many of our events. These
activities are during the day, after school or into the
evening. Some of the events that occur are the Fall
Family Festival, Movie Nights, Secret Santa Shop,
Muffins for Moms, Doughnuts for Dads, Grandfriends’
Lunch, Young Authors’ Tea, Volunteer Breakfast, and our
end of the year Academic Recognition Dinner. We also
encourage our parents to participate in the Kindergarten
Parent Academy and the First Grade Parent Academy.
