Unpaid charges reduces revenue which then affects the ability to pay outstanding bills and employee salaries. Uncollected charges may result in higher meal prices for other students.

You can check your student’s meal account balance any time by setting up a free account at www.SendMoneyToSchool.com

The school district has a charge policy for the elementary buildings, Fremont Middle School and Ross High School. Unpaid charges place a financial strain on the Child Nutrition Department. Therefore, the following policy is being implemented:

Elementary Buildings – 2 charges
Fremont Middle School – No charges
Ross High School – No charges

District meal charge policy goals are:

 To establish a consistent district policy regarding meal charges and collection of those charges;

 To encourage parents to assume the responsibility of meal payments and to promote self

  responsibility of the student;

 To treat all students with dignity as they come through the serving line regarding meal accounts:

 To establish charge policies that are age appropriate;

 To support positive situations with district staff, district policies, students and parents.

Please review the following notification steps we take so you and your child will know when money is needed:

1. We have set up www.SendMoneyToSchool.com so that you can view your student’s meal account anytime you want.

2. Each Thursday we send home account balance letters.

3. For each student that is using their quick id number, when that student reaches a 0 balance we will remind them to bring lunch money and give them a “need lunch money” reminder slip.

4. At the first meal charge, the cashier will again remind the student to bring lunch money and give them a “need lunch money” reminder slip.

5. At the second meal charge, the cashier will again remind the student to bring lunch money and give them a “need lunch money” reminder slip.

6. At the third meal charge for elementary we will feed your student a complimentary meal consisting of a vegetable and fruit. The cashier will again remind the student to bring lunch money and give them a “need lunch money” reminder slip.

Remember that your student may choose an extra entrée or milk, which may reduce the account balance. If you would like to block your student from this you can call Mrs. Rogers at 419-334-5440.

Please help us keep meal costs down. Pay your student’s charges promptly. Uncollected charges will increase meal costs for all students.

Thank you for your help and patience with this policy!!
