The best athletic programs
understand at their core that sports are a means and not
an end. It is never the competition itself that matters
– what matters is the manner in which competition shapes
and informs and develops those who compete. The
lessons of discipline and teamwork, of success and
failure, are carried indefinitely forward. Therefore it
is of the essence that the right lessons be learned and
it is the unique responsibility of the scholastic
athletic program and all those associated with it to
ensure that they are.
To
our fans: Please display a positive attitude at
all times, doing your best to discourage cheers that
taunt opposing teams, fans, and officials – cheers that
distract from the focus of high school athletics.
To
our athletes: Remember that you volunteered to
be a part of Fremont Ross High School athletics, and
that all of your actions are a reflection of yourself,
your team, your school, and the whole community. Please
conduct yourself in a manner that brings honor and pride
to our school and community.
So come on out, enjoy the games, and remember: “It takes
more to be a Little Giant!”
